Learning & Development Business Partner (Financial Services)
VANRATH Exclusive
Belfast

VANRATH is exclusively partnering with an award winning financial services organisation, with offices all over the UK and Ireland, with the appointment of a newly created Learning & Development BusinessPartner function.
The primary objective is to work in conjunction with the L&D sub-committee to ensure that the L&D strategy is fully planned, updated, and delivered on a continual basis.
The prosperous candidate will be a member of the L&D sub-committee which is responsible for identifying the L&D needs across the business and setting the priorities.

The function
   » Work with the L&D sub-committee to define L&D requirements and opportunities to build competence and skills at all stages of the employee lifecycle to enhance product development and service offering to clients.
   » Develop and implement a detailed L&D plan that fulfils the L&D needs taking into account the subject matter; target audience; cost; time allocation; and format to provide effective learning solutions.
   » Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders to understand the business and evolving needs of colleagues and clients.
   » Establish a network of external stakeholders to support and contribute to L&D solutions as appropriate.
   » Coach internal stakeholders on best practice in relation to facilitation & learning methodologies to achieve the best learning outcome for the target audience.
   » Utilise internal resources effectively and efficiently to develop tailored solutions reflecting business need.
   » Develop a process for assessing the effectiveness of the solutions that are delivered and ensure that learning’s are embedded into the process continually.
   » Responsibility for developing regular management reporting to support the design & implementation of the L&D plan.

The Person
Essential Criteria
   » practice of working in a similar function within Professional or Financial Services.
   » A proven track record of contributing to the design and driving the implementation of L&D programmes including a variety of interventions and including digital learning.
   » Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
   » capability to be highly organised and able to manage and deliver a complex and detailed set of requirements preferably using existing project management skills.
   » practice of managing own time and activities, prioritising competing demands with multiple stakeholders.
   » An analytical aptitude to report on and evaluate progress of the plan and effectiveness of the implementation to inform decision-making of the L&D Committee and Boards.
   » Demonstrated capability to quickly build professional credibility with key stakeholders and colleagues.
Desirable Criteria

   » practice of delivering training on an area of expertise/skills.
   » Skilled in facilitation.
