We are currently recruiting for 2 x ICT Support agent for the Newry area. This will be a full-time temporary function, Monday to Friday consisting of 36 hours per week, income DOE.
tasks & The main responsibilities are:
   » Provide technical support hardware/software to all departments, staff and students all over Campuses and out centres
   » Work as part of a team of Information technology support staff in the operation of Internal Information technology Systems
   » Connect computer systems to the internal Network, in line with the Local Area Network security features
   » Maintenance and administrative tasks
   » Organise and maintain an inventory of equipment
   » Assist the Network Administrator and Senior Information technology Support agent with day to day operational tasks
   » Installation of equipment/specialised software for discapability needs
   » Monitor maintenance / warranty contracts
   » Deal with outside organisations responsible for the maintenance of College computer systems and liaising with their engineers
   » Assist with the auditing of Health and Safety as Information technology applies to the use of workshops and laboratories and connected equipment and apparatus
   » Provide technical support at times of examinations and enrolments
Essential criteria:
   » A minimum of a level 4 (or higher) qualification in ICT or in an ICT related area
   » A pass grade at GCSE Level in English Language or Essential expertise Level 2 in Literacy or an equivalent qualification
   » A pass grade at GCSE Level in Mathematics or Essential expertise Level 2 in Numeracy or NICATS Access Maths Modules or an equivalent qualification
   » A minimum of 1 years’ significant practice (within the last 3 years) in providing hands-on Information technology support in a large* Client Server environment within a business or educational setting
   » (*Large is defined as a minimum of 25 end point clients)
   » A full current driving licence which enables you to drive in Northern Ireland, and access to a car for official business purposes. (Please refer to the General section in the application pack For more information)
Desirable criteria:
   » practice with Windows 10 administration within a Windows client server network
