Do you want to work for a company that cares about the environment? Our client in Vernon Ca is seeking for a Wash Line Lead.

Company offers full benefits, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, vacation, holiday & sick pay. 10% annual bonus plan. Day Shift is 7am-7pm, Night shift 7pm-7am, Facility is open Monday-Sunday (will work three days one week and four days the next alternating) They are paid overtime anything after 8 hours, so really good money to be earned

The purpose of the Wash Line Lead is to provide leadership abilities, supervise department personnel to ensure work performance (effectiveness and productivity), adherence to company rules, and ensure products are produced in conformity to company's highest quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform startup, shutdown, material changeovers and normal operating procedures for the Wash Line

• Perform and track material inventory and production information by inputting required information in HMI interfaces and/or manual documents.

• Adjust operating conditions and parameters for the equipment located on feedback from an HMI terminal and observation.

• Manage ?in-process' lab for controlling conditions of the process, including pH of water, bulk density of plastic flake, levels of conductivity in water and adjust parameters accordingly

• Work directly with lab technicians in the Quality Control department to ensure data is accurate and tracecapability is secure

• Train team of operators on operation of Wash Line, tracecapability, and proper maintenance

• Clean screens for water filtration, adjust settings for chemical dosing units, maintain optical sorting devices, exchange material bins

• Track weights and data during batch processing, manage software for batch processing (Vicinity)

• Track inventory levels of finished product (plastic flakes) as well as byproducts

• Identify equipment and personnel safety issues and resolve

• Aid in the safety and operations training of new employees.

• Maintain compliance with company and OSHA policy regarding operations and safety issues, including but not limited to: lockout/tagout procedures, forklift operation, proper use of PPE, and sharps discovery and handling.

• Must clearly understand and perform all procedures and equipment per training and must attend all required training sessions (including safety training)

• Communication required with employees in all departments and functional areas

• Maintain cleanliness and organization on the line/surrounding area (including outside)

• Must be attentive to potential contamination issues and handle issues appropriately

• Responsible for following food safety requirements of the facility


• 5+ years reliable work practice in a related manufacturing setting, with 3+ years in a managery/leadership abilities function.

• SQF, HACCP background is a plus.

• Must be able to read and write in English, as well as proficiency in math. HS Diploma or GED

• Strong communication expertise, capability to speak Spanish a plus.
