Create Account Job DescriptionRef ID: 01360-0010963543Job Category: Sr. Accountant Compensation: $60000.00 to $65000.00 yearly Your main responsibilities in this position would include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for challenging and fast-paced work environments will be prosperous in this position. Responsibilities - Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP - Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests - Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) - Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations Job Requirements- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment- Skilled with ERP systems - Earlier practice in public accounting is highly valued - knowledge of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) practice - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Foundational knowledge in payroll - skills in account reconciliation - Month end closings practice - General familiarity with journal entries - Demonstrated knowledge of journal entries - Accounts Payable (AP) practice desired - Adeptness in Microsoft Excel - Accounts Receivable (AR) practice - Strong time management skills preferred - 3-5 years of overall general accounting practice, ideally with Big 4 practice - Excellent verbal, written, and social skills Robert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
