Job Summary
This individual isgoing to lend managementand subject matter skills in a project that is part ofa broad recoveryeffort within a mortgage servicing group.

Job Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
   » Assist stakeholders with "triaging" and categorizing different types of "out of balance" loans to facilitate research and clearance by other team members.
   » Assist stakeholders with building process and procedures to research and clear these different categories of out of balance loans
   » Direct research and clearance activitiesof the team (3to 4 senior accountants). These efforts will include but are not limited to:
   » Performing forensic research on or analysis of financial data related to previously charged off loans.
   » Developing/maintaining trend analysis and other ad hoc reports/projects.
   » Validating data reporting sources by working other departments to resolve discrepancies.
   » Exhibiting availability to go above and beyond the minimum requirements when working with internal customers ensuring a positive customer practice.
   » Performing other tasks as assigned or requested.

Job Requirements

   » Accounting practice as a strong senior or Manager in a servicing environment a plus.
   »Loan accounting practice a must.
   » Undergraduate degree required; concentration in accounting or similar field of education preferred.
   »Minimum offour years of accounting/finance practice within mortgage operations is required.

   » expertise ofloan accounting, investor claims investor reporting and other types of corporate reporting preferred
   » General expertise of the mortgage servicing life cycle thru payoff and or default and expertise of or practice in loss analysis preferred.
   » Operational proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.

   » Effective communication skills, both oral and written
   » Excellent investigative, auditing, analysis and accounting skills utilized to review loan level financial data
   » Strong problem solving skills and the capability to communicate findings succinctly and accurately
   » Able to meet aggressive deadlines
   » Able to adapt to change and work in a fast paced environment
   » Strong attention to detail
   » Highly proficient in Excel/Access
