JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for a wide variety of projects in support of business decisions and management reporting requirements. In this function, you will perform complex financial analysis, including in-depth technical data mining for budgets, cash flows, operating results, compensation plans and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, financial modeling, etc. and prepare recommendations to management.

KEY The main responsibilities are:
   » Performs complex financial and business analysis:
   » Work with the CFO and senior management team in developing the long-term financial strategy for the enterprise, analyze emerging business trends and operational drivers
   » Assists in detail financial modeling for business acquisition candidates
   » Analyzes and evaluates the company's operating results and financial position located on quantitative modeling and data mining/linking
   » Prepares product line profitcapability analysis
   » Forecasts accurate and timely cash flow projections, sales projections, and expense projections.
   » Interprets and summarizes findings and makes recommendations
   » Provides recurring analysis on high value, complex reports
   » Performs statistical analysis of data and publishes key reports (for example but not limited to):
   » Department Expense reporting
   » Internal sales commissions reporting
   » Transactional usage
   » Reviews and confirms that all source reports are compiled and distributed to various business in a timely manner
   » Provides written commentary, interpretation, and recommendations on the report details as needed/required
   » Design and implement commission plans for internal Sales groups
   » Work with Sales managers to design and evaluate commission plans
   » Implement and maintain automated commission processes and ensure timely and accurate commission calculation and payment
   » Builds and maintains data queries and data mining scripts to ensure accurate and timely results
   » Establishes policies and procedures with sales personnel and sales management regarding sales and commission issues and document flow process according to ?best practices'.
   » Builds and maintains exceptional working relationships with sales and product managers
   » Participates in long range planning and budgeting processes:
   » Works with departments and business Units managers through the development process of each budget.
   » Provides quantitative data tables with expense detail for department budget submissions.
   » Assists in linking data sets into Hyperion.
   » Maintains department files and writes budget reports in SAP BPC.
   » Assists in accounting activities related to revenue.
   » Establishes and tests internal controls and ensures internal controls relating to revenue recognition are implemented and adhered to.
   » Assists with monthly and quarterly financial close.
   » Participates in special projects and performs other tasks as required.
   » Consults or works with international software or other Henry Schein divisions relating to the software business including quantitative modeling, data mining, revenue recognition, budgets/forecasts, etc.

Job Requirements


   » WORK practice:

Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional practice.

PREFERRED suitable education

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & expertise:
   » Minimum 2 years practice in quantitative financial modeling and financial analysis required.
   » 2 years combined practice in profitcapability/pricing analysis, historical expense/revenue trend analysis, customer service statistical metrics, marketing lead-gen analysis, bonus/commission planning and analysis, and/or acquisition modeling. Combined practice must be in more than one of the above
   » Minimum 1 year VBA or similar software programming practice required
   » Minimum 2 years practice in designing and analyzing critical KPI's required
   » Dental, medical or software industry practice a plus but not required
   » International practice a plus
   » Proficiency in quantitative financial modeling, multivariate analysis, and complex problem solving
   » Well versed with discounted cash flow models, accounting statement analysis and KPI analysis
   » capability to mine and summarize large amounts of data, strong SQL expertise and database concepts
   » Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, dynamic name range and VBA programming
   » practice with result-oriented variable compensation plan or similar design
   » practice in creating, coordinating and reporting budgeting processes
   » Demonstrated knowledge and practice in using large SAP/ERP applications
   » practice working in multi-functional teams, team player with the capability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
   » Strong communication expertise, including effective writing and presentation expertise
   » MBA in Finance with a strong quantitative background (mathematics, computer science, information systems, engineering, economics)
