Job Description


Working both independently and as a member of the team, participate in all aspects of analysis, design, and development of data structures, integration solutions, and related vended applications to support data integrations and integrity of the Indiana University Salesforce CRM platform. Assist with the coordination of identification and analysis of data sources and processes required for logical and physical modeling of data for the IU CRM environment utilizing multiple data sources internal and external to the University. Provide input on technical architecture, including tools and processes. Collaborate with the IU CRM team and other UITS Divisions and units in the planning process to establish business requirements, define deliverables and establish timelines. Responsible for collaborating and ensuring the prosperous delivery of critical IU CRM platform data components and continuing CRM data integrity.
Works as an effective member on the team providing everyday administration of CRM maintained data, integrations, and imports. Demonstrates a high degree of self-initiative and commitment to expand skills and skills through a variety of methods, including self-study, working/mentoring with colleagues, and both internal and external training. Identifies appropriate training, mentoring, guidance and resources necessary for the development of team member.
The job's work is in the area of multi-object relational data architecture, maintenance, and integration development for the Salesforce CRM Platform and related applications. Selection preference may be given to candidates with practice working with one or more applicable products from this vendor.
Provide assistance to technical partners by ensuring availcapability of appropriate resources, and when needed, assist developers in determining data design solutions.

Job Requirements


REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or related discipline and two years of practice in the area of business intelligence, data warehouse, data architecture, data modeling, cube building and systems analysis. Substantial practice with Oracle databases, SQL tuning, and designing data structures for data warehousing, reporting and analytics, employing techniques such as dimensional data modeling, OLAP cubes, and tabular models.
Combinations of related education and significant practice may be considered.
Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Demonstrated problem-solving and technical trouble-shooting skills combined with a strong work-ethic and the capability to learn. Demonstrated capability with Class Relational Database Management Systems and a working expertise of any standard SDLC processes. General expertise of cloud located software as a service, storage systems, advanced virtualization, master data management, and ETL software is valuable. capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences is coveted.
Able to operate effectively in a complex and dynamic environment; capable of functioning on multi-disciplinary projects and participate as requested in ad-hoc committees; capable of working with all audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
expertise and practical practice with project management tools and application development methodologies; development with a high-level programming language (Apex, J2EE, .NET, PERL, etc.).
