Job Description

The MSL Operations Support candidate will support client manufactured test equipment. Specific tasks include:
   » Repair and/or Calibration of mechanical measuring/indicating devices (micrometers, scales, digital indicators, etc.)
   » Mechanical measurement of plain/thread pins and plug gages
   » Mechanical measurement of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high frequency electronic parts.

The candidate will be responsible for direct application of technical skills. Working within the designated area of skills, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting client technicians and NPI Engineers.

Job Requirements

   » Client is seeking a highly motivated individual. Candidates must be able to function with a high level of responsibility, use of good judgment, and understand the impact of their decisions.
   » Prior practice is strongly preferred. Applicant should have at least 2 years of related practice in the calibration and repair of mechanical test equipment.
   » This position requires some education, specialized training/certification, or Military practice.
   » Ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of mechanical metrology hand tool calibration techniques.
   » practice using automated calibration software platforms is a plus. Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a must.
   » Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
   » Demonstrates mechanical competence.
   » Works with clearly defined objectives on assignments that may be repetitive in nature.
   » Solves technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
   » Performs adjustments, calibrations and basic repairs.
   » Escalates more difficult repairs to practiced technicians.
   » Exhibits the capability to build and maintain professional relationships with wide variety of people.
   » Adheres to the highest standards of business ethics.
   » Provides consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals.
   » Exercises good discretion in the use of time and other client resources. Maximizes the use of existing assets, multi-tasks effectively, and ensures client resources are used properly (i.e. connector care, ESD, ETE).
   » Maintains high workmanship standards and delivers on commitments.
   » Communicates effectively with internal customers. May initiate customer interaction as appropriate. Escalates issues through appropriate channels when necessary. This is done verbally or via written correspondence.
   » Adheres to established processes and is responsible for achieving established team goals.
