Our flagship DURA-BASE® Advanced-Composite Mat System provides a heavy duty working platform for temporary work sites and access roads and is used for many other industry applications.
The individual in this function will lead operations (staff and P&L) for customer projects out of our Ridgeville, IN yard. We provide matting, access roads and worksite construction solutions to customers in many industries but our operations in the Ridgeville area are concentrated on power transmission and distribution.
Candidates residing in the Indianapolis metro-area, will not be required to relocate.

Essential Functions:

The Area Operations Manager will support the Product Line Director in managing and conducting operations for their region in a manner that strategically aligns with the overall mission and vision of NMIS while effectively providing support to the NMIS leadership abilities Team, as well as, to all members of the Field Management Team and their direct subordinates.
1. Responsible for managing operations compliance in the day to day use of processes, procedures, and in the execution of pre-determined business plans.
2. Consistently identify areas for improvement in safety, quality, cost, customer service and employee relations in operations.
3. Serve as a model for the rest of the operations team on the carrying out the strategic directives of NMIS.
4. Assist with analyzing the financial performance of the site as represented on the P & L bringing to light any areas needing further analysis or correction.
5. Assist with monitoring and adhering to operational budget as well as assist in the budget setting process.
6. Consistently conduct problem/solution analysis at the functional level to increase profitcapability and maintain customer satisfaction.
7. Continuously maintain and develop customer relations to increase penetration with existing customer and foster new business.
8. Consistently manage and ensure the maintenance of all capital equipment including mats.
9. Proactively maintain a work environment for employees that are free from harassment and discrimination.
10. Responsible for scoping and estimating costs and materials for job sites. Prepare bids for customers located on estimations.

Bachelors Degree (educational equivalent), or 8 years of significant work practice in lieu of education, AND 8 years practice in Services or Operations. Strong knowledge of product line(s)/service(s) in an operational area or district. broad knowledge of customer requirements and market conditions. broad knowledge of company's business practices including strategic planning, budgeting and staffing.
practice in constructon management (operations or project management) within the power industry highly preferred.
