PE Global is currently recruiting for a Lab Support Technician for a Client site in Carlow -
Job Purpose:
Ensures housekeeping and stock management of the assigned laboratory is to the highest standard consistent with client’s requirements to ensure compliance, safety and reliable supply to our customers.

Principal Accountabilities:
   » Work as directed by the Laboratory Manager according to Company safety policies, cGMP and cGLP.
   » Required to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines and regulatory requirements
   » Execute Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
   » Goods receipt, stock management and purchasing
   » Glassware washing
   » Paperwork filing
   » Waste management (discarding samples etc.)
   » General laboratory and equipment cleans and housekeeping
   » Preparation of equipment for testing
   » Logging reagents onto GLIMS for use
   » Completing appropriate laboratory documentation in line with GDP requirements
   » General Laboratory Support
   » Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture in Carlow.
   » May be required to execute other tasks as assigned.
expertise and Knowledge
   » Typical Minimum suitable education Leaving Certificate or other significant practice.
   » Typical Minimum practice:
   » No previous practice required; although practice with LIMS (Labware) customer service, stock management and lean six sigma a distinct advantage. Core Competences:
Technical:
   » Knowledge of cGMP
   » Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job related computer applications required
   » knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodology preferred. Business:
   » Understand the specific responsibilities of all Carlow departments as they relate to ones own department, knowledge the business processes ones department supports
   » Effective communication and interpersonal expertise, to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues and with external customers in a team orientated manner.
   » Planning and scheduling expertise
   » Flexible approach
   » Proven organizational expertise
   » Starter/Finisher
   » Effective time management and multi-tasking expertise
   » Excellent attention to detail
