The Function: The prosperous candidate will be responsible for the support and development of our rapidly evolving Information technology systems. this function will supervise the practices and processes responsible for maintaining high availcapability and performance of the infrastructure.

You will be responsible for the identification, development and implementation of new technologies and systems. This is a hands-on function that requires a high level of technical knowledge.

this function reports to the Director.

The Person:

The perfect candidate for this function will be comfortable managing multiple projects and people, have strong technical knowledge of both electronics and software development.

Industry practice is not a requirement however a broad range of expertise is required.

The main responsibilities are:

   » Management and maintenance of Information technology operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organising and negotiating the allocation of resources.
   » Plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organisation.
   » Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Information technology systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
   » Provide administrative direction and support for everyday operational activities of the Information technology department.
   » Work closely with directors and managers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support new technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation.
   » Work with system providers, in the fault finding, development, analysis and implementation of system enhancements.
   » Define and implement Information technology policies, procedures and best practices for both regulatory purposes and data protection.
   » Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing of Information technology systems
Essential Requirements:

   » 3rd level degree in a significant discipline
   » 5+ Years in an Information technology Management / Information technology Project Management function
   » Day to day management of distributed teams
   » Strong database and data analysis practice (SQL)
   » Software development (Java, PHP)
   » MS Server (2008, 2012)
   » Basic knowledge of electronics and networks
   » Strong procurement practice
   » Proven capability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and/or initiatives
   » Proven capability to develop business and technology solutions
   » Strong problem-solving expertise
   » Excellent leadership abilities, communication and reporting skill Desirable practice:
   » BI practice (Power BI, Tableau)
