The job in a nutshell:

The HR Specialist is responsible for providing advice to line managers, employees and HR colleagues regarding a broad range of employee matters ensuring a positive employee practice and adherence to company policies.

this function is accountable for end to end everyday management of absence queries, probationary management, grievances and disciplinary processes. The prosperous applicant will also provide project support to the wider team. This is a Fixed Term contract with an end date of November 2018.

What else Information technology involves:
   » Influence and provide timely expert advice to line managers regarding the application and interpretation of a wide spectrum of issues from people policies, including: Absence Management, Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance Management including Probation and Dignity at Work
   » Respond effectively to queries within specified SLA`s.
   » Build capcapability of line managers in each are of the business predominately in Customer Service Team.
   » Act as liaison with external organisations such as IBEC where their expert advice is required.
   » Escalate matters appropriately for any approvals or where a second opinion is required to manage risk and ensure consistency.
   » Support the continued work to build line management empowerment thorough coaching, building consistency, sharing reports and arranging face to face meetings.
   » Design of employee relations products and services such as policy, procedures & guidelines which are then mapped into project that can be achieved by set timelines.
   » Support the roll out of programs and initiatives to improve ways of working, to ensure compliance with any legislative changes or best practice.
   » Ensure you keep up to date with any legislative changes.
   » Work closely with payroll and HR Operations team to provide any payroll impact changes including sick pay, notice periods and also providing any data required for KPIs etc monthly to key stakeholders.
   » Proactively engage with your customers and stakeholder to address their needs.
   » this function will be Limerick located but will involve regular travel each month to Dublin office but also to sites nationwide to provide support. The prosperous candidate should have access to their own transport to enable them to attend meetings in various locations where public transport is not available
