Compensation: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour

Our entertainment client located in Playa Vista is seeking a long term temporary Shipping and Receiving Clerk to cover for a maternity leave. This position will last at least four months and could possibly go through the end of the year. As the Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for various tasks that include but are not limited to the following: receive and distribute packages, review shipping notices, bills of lading, check for invoices accuracy and order processing. You will be responsible for labeling products and coordinate deliveries to internal and external clients. Basic to intermediate computer skills are required and they capability to lift 25 lbs. This is a physical job that will require you to be on your feet so someone who enjoys this type of work is idea. The hours for this position are 8-5 with a one hour lunch. In the event the employee does not return from maternity leave this could be an open position and the full time income would be up to $17 hour. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of practice in shipping and receiving. You must pass a background check prior to starting this assignment. Responsibilities - Data entry, word processing, filing, scanning, copying, and faxing - Manage telephone calls, including receiving and placing - Drafting correspondence that conform to prescribed style and format - Offer help with front desk and receptionist tasks - Offer friendly customer service accurately and quickly - Interface with customers in a friendly manner - Supporting diverse projects for other employees as needed

- capability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - practice with Word and Excel - Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills - Employer recommends 2+ years of Office Clerk practice for this position - navigating basic office equipment and protocols practice - skills in shipping receiving - Back office support practice - Deep knowledge of bills of lading - Shipping practice desired - practice handling office equipment - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments - High school diploma or equivalent
