Description:
Lead the day to day payroll operational tasks as directed by the Payroll Manager
Co-ordinate Payroll closes for European Payrolls as directed by Payroll Manager.
Month end reporting and posting of payroll to SAP general ledger including completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal bookings to GL
Completing and Coordinating tax year ends for various European Payroll as directed by Payroll Manager.
Ensure all payrolls are completed in a timely & accurate manner and in line with SOX controls.
Implementing and maintaining controls over all documentation and processes in line with SOX requirements
Completing & Coordinating Tax year ends for various EMEIA payrolls as directed by the Payroll Manager.
Engage in European Payroll Projects and work in testing and UAT cycles
Focus everyday on increased efficiencies and scalcapability through process improvements and automation.
Drive process improvements and standardizations across payroll function
Work closely with local Payroll Vendors, Store Managers, HR, Compliance, Systems teams and any other significant business partners to ensure all issues are addressed and resolutions put in place in a timely manner.
Ensure all payrolls are completed in a timely & accurate manner and in line with SOX controls.
Complete induction and training for new hires and ensure on-going training is available for any existing team members.
Ensure all desktop procedures & process notes are updated and maintained for any process or legislative changes.
Work with Payroll Systems team to identify issues in payroll that require development and provide input to requirements for any proposed system changes.
Support UAT test cycles as directed by your manager. Manage and troubleshoot any issues to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Deputize for Payroll Manager where necessary.
suitable education
* Working expertise of SAP Payroll and Kronos Timekeeping a plus
* Other languages e.g., French, Spanish, German, Swedish a plus
* Accountancy qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAI) a plus
* Previous practice working in a high volume payroll processing and a fast paced/dynamic environment
* Qualification with IPASS or similar is desirable
