The Iveagh Trust are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join our team in Dublin.
 

The Iveagh Trust is the longest established provider of social housing in Ireland, building sustainable communities since 1890.
Today, the Trust provides over 1,400 units of accommodation across Dublin City and suburbs, offering a range of housing options including supported housing for older people, the Iveagh Hostel for homeless men and general needs housing for families.
The Trust is now looking to make a new appointment on a 12 month contract.
Maintenance Operative - Housing Repairs and Maintenance
Reference H5001 (Applications must contain Reference No. and Cover Letter)
The function of the Maintenance Operative is to provide organised and efficient support to the Repairs & Maintenance Coordinator so as to ensure that the service provided to the tenants by the Iveagh Trust is of the highest standard. This is achieved by providing a professional and technical repairs and maintenance service in respect of the Iveagh Trust properties, as directed.
Key The main responsibilities are:
   » To install carbon monoxide alarms where required
   » To install window restrictors where required
   » To carry out works relating to the planned maintenance schedule
   » To change or clean mechanical extraction filters
   » To record service history on all of the above
   » To assist with property refurbishments i.e. removing fixtures and fittings in advance of contractors arriving on site
   » Transporting equipment and material between estates when required
   » Reporting back to head office information relating to the asset register
   » capability to carry out defect/snagging surveys to refurbished properties and compile reports
   » Complete all significant paperwork, ensuring all records and systems, including SDM are kept up to date
Required practice and Attributes:
   » Car owner and full drivers licence is essential
   » candidates are required to have good knowledge and knowledge of construction methods and response maintenance
   » Must be computer literate and be able to send emails, attach pictures, complete significant worksheets and the capability to use basic Excel and Microsoft Word
   » Good communication expertise, including completing work dockets and digital forms
   » The capability to work on your own initiative
   » Good people expertise
   »Organisational
   » Act at all times within the Iveagh Trust's rules, policies, procedures, standing orders and financial regulations
   » Uphold the Trust's values, policies and practices in respect of equality, diversity and inclusion in all dealings with colleagues, tenants, partners and other stakeholders
   » Understand and comply with the Trust's health and safety policies and practices and ensure that these are administered in your area of responsibility
   » Participate in agreed training in all areas of the Trust's work, including e-learning and attendance at internal and external courses
