Purpose of Post:
Mercury Engineering requires an Operations Manager to work within a new sector, Technical Support Services. The Operations Manager function is located in Dublin, Ireland but will involve regular travel as required to manage all live contracts. You will also be expected to take a lead function in future business development. The Operations Manager supervises all significant projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, on margin and to the required QES's standards.

Principal tasks and The main responsibilities are:
* Manage the M&E Support Services operations
* Manage all Ancillary packages as required.
* Manage contracts in all locations to ensure target contribution/ margins are achieved
* Implement business plan for growth and help identify new business opportunities.
* Maintain and increase strong relationships with client base.
* Ensure that Project resources are well managed and utilized according to schedules
* Ensure that regular Projects reviews are conducted and improvements are implemented across the various projects.
* Management of safety and quality
* Attend all month end reviews
* Ensure all projects are managed in line with P.E.P and that resources are utilised in line with tender and project schedules.

Selection Criteria / Person Specification:
Essential

* practice working in fast paced business environment
* practice of Managing Multiple Small to Medium Size Projects
* Proven M&E Management Level practice
* Computer Proficiency
* Strong Financial Management Skills
* Strong leadership abilities and People Management Skills
* Must have strong Commercial knowledge
* Must have an knowledge of construction related contracts

Desirable

* Business Degree, Project Management Degree or equivalent
* practice in the knowledge of BIM and lean construction
