General Summary:


Our ServiceNow platform at Unum is growing quickly and We are seeking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer and Administrator who will be responsible for day-to-day administration, development, and continuing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform supporting key ITIL processes such as Incidents, Requests, Problems, Changes, CMDB, Assets, Service Catalog, Knowledgebase and Employee service portals.

this function will be directly involved in the execution of tactical and strategic ServiceNow projects, development of ServiceNow applications and integrations, implementation of ServiceNow upgrades, and support and maintenance of the service delivery platform. They will be responsible for managing and resolving challenging issues for the ServiceNow platform, requiring strong communication expertise in addition to strong technical expertise. This Senior function is considered a ServiceNow platform subject matter expert.
Principal tasks and Responsibilities
   » Architect ServiceNow technical solutions
   » Development and execution of advanced scripting of business rules, UI Policies, UI Macros, Client Scripts, ACLs, workflows, custom tables, reports etc
   » Developing and delivering customized portal web pages in ServiceNow using Bootstrap and AngularJS and JavaScript frameworks
   » Building and maintaining integrations utilizing MID server, web services (SOAP and REST), JDBC, email and other significant technology
   » Performs integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration
   » Provide advanced support and administration for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis etc.
   » Participation and collaboration of SDLC using AgileScrum methods
   » Update and maintain technical documentation
   » Perform installation and testing of ServiceNow updates and new releases
   » Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
   » Create process documentation for team and provide internal training to team members
   » Generate reports and KPI analysis as needed
   » Provide 24 x 7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
   » Evaluates new products/technologies to determine impact on existing system configurations
   » Researches capabilities of the ServiceNow platform, provides recommendations and implements solutions to meet business requirements
   » Collaborates with business users, product owner and ServiceNow team to establish specifications and agree on timeframe for completion of assigned requests
   » Consultative approach in establishing and maintaining partnerships with business and technology stakeholders
   » Develop and analyze functional requirements for systems implementations and convert the functional requirements into ServiceNow technical design
   » Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions
   » Technical leadership abilities, Peer code review and ensure that team is following all the best practices
   » Responsible for analysis, design, development and implementation of modules and application on ServiceNow platform
   » Analyse, troubleshoot, and fix identified ServiceNow system issues / operational support tickets
   » Identify and implement solutions for maturing platform capabilities and automating administrative tasks
   » Coordinate on requirements, project scopes and timeframes
   » Advise internal customers and stakeholders on ITSM solutions and best practices
   » Maintain current knowledge using appropriate resources and guides
   » Participate in everyday team meetings and scrum agile ceremonies
   » Provide testing and quality assurance on all work performed
   » Create project documentation for requirements, scripting and development
Qualifications & practice
   » Educated to Bachelor's degree level in Computer Science or holds a significant professional qualification or acceptable industry practice
   » 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Administration, Design, Configuration, Development and Deployment practice
   » 3+ years of practice in full Software Development Life Cycle
   » 3+ years of practice with Java script development
   » Exceptional knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and design patterns
   » Working knowledge of how configuration management factors into the ITIL framework
   » practice in CMDB, Discovery and integration with other external modules
   » practice with Identity & Access Management technologies (for example, SAML, SSO, LDAP, Active Directory etc.)
   » Strong working knowledge of Information technology Service Management components (e.g. Service Catalog, Change, Incident, Release, Problem, Knowledge, CMDB, Asset, etc.)
   » practice with ServiceNow components within Information technology Operations, Security Operations, HR, Business Management, Performance Analytics, and Reporting
   » practice administering Linux/Unix
   » practice in one or more scripting Required languages JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
   » practice with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL)
   » Knowledge of components in a web applications stack (Web Server/ Application Server)
   » System integration practice using web services and other web-located technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
   » ServiceNow System Administrator Certification required
   » ServiceNow Application Developer Certification preferred
   » ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist preferred
   » ITIL v3 Foundations and/or Advanced ITIL Certifications preferred
