Associate Consultant, Human Resources - 12 month FTC

The HR Consultant acts as a partner to managers and employees by providing professional HR support to significant internal client groups.
The focus of the function is primarily on day-to-day risk mitigation, providing tactical and operational guidance on HR policies and programmes.

The individual will also participate in Talent Development related activities; consult on HR practices (administration and delivery of performance management, total compensation, and educational assistance) and policies and benefits for the Limerick office as well as coordinating administrative activities with the regional HR Service Centre.

Principal Responsibilities
   » Build and maintain strong business relationships with management at all levels
   » Consult with managers on supporting a culture committed to employee engagement, development and growth by coaching and advising managers on talent assessment, career planning, and performance management processes
   » Facilitate communication among partners and management; providing guidance to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, career development, regulatory compliance, problem solving, reductions in force and litigation avoidance
   » Participate in employee relations investigations and conduct research into matters
   » Partner with management on employee relations issues, including providing fact located, consistent recommendations for Performance Improvement Plans and terminations
   » Partner with Senior HR Consultant & internal clients on change initiatives that impact people. Change initiatives may include changes in business processes, systems and technology, job functions and/or organization structures.
   » Support Human Resource strategies, programs and initiatives to attract, develop and retain the very best people
   » Maintain an consciousness of and partner with Talent Acquisition to help achieve a high quality talent pipeline
   » Attend significant management and departmental meetings to ensure HR actions support key business initiatives.
   » Monitor and analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, risks, and issues that could impact business results. Operationalize HR initiatives, quantifying results, and monitor /measure effectiveness
   » Ensure compliance on HR-related company guidelines and policies, as well as compliance with all legislative regulations
   » Effectively represent and partner with all HR functional areas and engage the appropriate HR partners in a timely manner
   » Interpret and answer policy and HR-related questions consistently
   » Facilitate exit interviews, identify trends & provide proactive solutions to mitigate unwanted turnover
   » Provide continuing reporting and recommendations for assigned business groups
   » Assist with corporate HR projects and other functional and cross functional initiatives as needed
   » The ideal candidate will hold practice within a Human Resources environment, ideally gained in a generalist capacity within financial services/professional services
   » Comfortable dealing with a broad range of HR issues
   » A strong expertise of employment legislation and CIPD qualification is preferable
   » Strong analytical capability and excellent oral and written communication skills
   » Strong consulting and influencing skills and the capability to develop in-depth relationships with managers, employees and fellow HR professionals
   » Will suit a positive and energetic personality with a calm and professional approach to work related matters
   » practice of managing organizational change would be desirable
   » A proven track record of delivery and driving projects through to completion
