Overview of Function:
Our client in the North East area is seeking an Accounts Payable adjunct to work within the accounts payable team whose main purpose is to ensure all payments are made on time for all Business Units and to support the AP Team Lead in the effective and efficient operation of the department.

The main responsibilities are:
Bank Payments in Euro, STG and USD (BOL’s and CAPS) for all Business Units
Intercompany Payments
Generate GP and BOL’s as required
Produce Month End Bank Reconciliations (Large Volume of transactions)
Maintaining advances schedule(s)
Preparing and second checking supplier payment runs
Verification of new supplier forms
Scanning supplier invoices, Managing Verification Queues, Invoice Training on Metastorm
Head Office matching, coding and processing of Supplier invoices
Investigation and resolution of supplier queries
Assist in preparing accounts for payment
Assist the AP Team Lead in co-ordinating month end closes per BU
Holiday cover off for other colleagues (Cross Training Required)
Ensure high quality service given by SSC AP is upheld Form and build relationships with each of our BU finance teams/MD’s
Any other ad hoc tasks as deemed appropriate by the management team (of which reception cover is currently one)
Reception cover (as required)

Required / Desirable Required qualifications and practice:
Leaving certificate or higher
Accounts Technician or part qualified accountant would be a distinct advantage
Ideally up to 2 year’s previous practice in an accounts payable and busy office environment
practice in Word and Excel is essential
practice of Sun accounts system would be an advantage
Good aptitude for figures
Excellent communication expertise
capability to work on own initiative
Excellent planning and organisational expertise
A distinct capability to time manage effectively in order to meet strict deadlines
A firm customer service knowledge and approach
Excellent time management expertise and the flexibility to work outside of normal hours to suit the requirements of the business.
