Our Client in the West of Ireland region is a leading provider of innovative and advanced electronic components and solutions for a wild variety of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer products industries. They are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer for a permanent position. This promises to be an exciting opportunity for a appropriate candidate with the right practice.
   » Electrical component selection in coordination with global procurement teams
   » Schematics development (circuit & magnetics topology)
   » PCB layout & DFM
   » Knowledge of design & test for EMC/EMI compliance
   » Electrical Testing
   » Customer design support for system level transmission compliance
   » Support to technical customer base and Standards Association activities Requirements
   » Level 8 Hons Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, preferably a Masters.
   » 3-5 years’ practice in a significant field.
   » Proven history of prosperous project execution in a manufacturing environment
   » Signal Integrity / Electromagnetic transmission lines practice an advantage
   » Magnetics design, specification & optimisation expertise
   » Knowledge of Ethernet transmission
   » practice and knowledge of network analysers & S-Parameter measurements
   » Strong programming expertise including LabView
   » PCB software practice, preferably Altium Designer
   » Strong verbal and written communication expertise that demonstrate the capability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
   » contact with mechanical engineering, production, and quality groups in the development of work instructions and controls for electrical assembly manufacture
   » Analytical capability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections
   » Strong leadership abilities expertise with a commitment to teamwork.
   » Self-motivated, hard working person, willing to demonstrate initiative
   » Must have a capacity for communicating and problem solving, together with a demonstrated capability to identify problem causes and deliver solutions
   » Decisive and strong in commitment to achieving customer agreed project schedules along with quality and cost targets
   » capability to work with ‘co-located’ project teams where not all the members are located locally
   » availability to travel as required
