The National Learning Network are currently recruiting for an Instructor to join their Team in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.
 

The Rehab Group is a charity that provides services for over 20,000 adults and children, and champions the value of diversity and inclusion for people with disabilities or disadvantage in their communities all over Ireland and the UK.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Employer located Training Instructor

1 JOB PURPOSE
The Employer located Training (EBT) Instructor is responsible for
1. Sourcing learners for the programme and work placements with employers who will provide on the job training for the learners
2. Liaising with the employers and monitoring the progress of the learners.
3. Drafting and delivery of the learners' individualised training plans and training. Delivering certified and non-certified modules and updating training plans as training is completed.
The objective of the programme is to obtain employment for the learners.

2 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/practice/TRAINING/expertise
Formal Education/Training
Third level or Further Education qualification, preferably within the Education/Training or Social Sciences sector.
Work practice
practice of sourcing work placements.
Occupational practice of working with Learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts.
Skills and expertise
An capability to source work placements and encourage employers to realise the benefits of providing work practice to those who attend our service.
To motivate learners and to maintain networks with stakeholders and local communities.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills together with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
practice in working on own initiative with a professional and confident approach.

3 JOB tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Area

Source learners for the programme and source work practice placements. Instil by example and direct training, proper work attitudes and work behaviours.

Evaluate the vocational rehabilitation needs of each Learner and produce a profile of those needs. Provide learners with adequate and constructive feedback about their progress.

Maintain all records in conformity with both internal and external intake procedures, accreditation and quality standards and produce reports on same.

Meet key performance indicators in relation to learner placement and employment.

Report to the Manager on all matters pertaining to the programme and inform the Manager in a timely manner should problems arise.

Perform the function of Instructor under the guidance of the management of National Learning Network and co-operate fully with the programme and centre staff and multi-disciplinary teams.

Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities within the general requirements of the above job specification as may be required from time to time.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of activities of National Learning Network and actively participate in and promote a culture of excellence all over all National Learning Network activities.
