Consultant, Fund Accounting
 

function
this function is located in our Limerick office and will be within the Oregon Fund Accounting Programme .
Principal Responsibilities
   » Working within the Business Architecture Work stream.
   » Analyse the day 1 NT FA and Oregon FA current business architecture to identify differences in terms of functionality, processes and org. structure
   » Assist Design the day 2 and 3 target operating model to support both existing and Oregon client requirements
   » Identify and document gaps between the NT day 1 and day 2/3 operating model and work with delivery W/S to propose solutions for the DA
   » Complete work assigned by the workstream lead
   » Adopt and embrace the ways of working set out by the programme
   » Ensure designated work is delivered against quality and plan
   » Deliver day-to-day activities to meet the workstream milestones
   » Highlight any potential risks and issues identified to the workstream lead
   » Report progress on assigned activity to the workstream lead
   » Deliver with a sense of urgency and agility
   » Work collaboratively in ensuring timely delivery
   » Suggest improvements to team performance to accelerate progress

Skills / practice
practice
   » Maintain an knowledge of the industry and NT, in particular NT's systems, infrastructure and process/data flows.
   » Strong communication, first class presentation and internal and external client-servicing skills.
   » Evidence of prosperous negotiation skills

Systems
   » Detailed Knowledge of Enterprise and related Fund Accounting Applications
   » practice with vendors preferred (Bloomberg, Reuters etc).
   » knowledge of how Fund Accounting systems link and interface to other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces.
   » Responsible for co-coordinating systems testing in the team.
   » Analytically and procedurally competent to represent the team on cross-function/location process or project deliverables.

Client Service
   » practice of representing businesses to current clients via presentations etc.
   » Ensure the team understands the current Oregon SLA and Operating Model
   » Collaborate and consult with project/assignment stakeholders with ease. Prepare and recommend solutions to project/assignment issues and risk factors. Provide regular updates to the stakeholders on project status

People Management
   » Be an effective communicator, motivator, coach and mentor.
   » Leads by example and actively mentors and coaches individuals on the team. Provides guidance, knowledge and feedback to mentees. Mentors individuals and peers during a project/assignment.
   » Ensure best use of resources and systems. Identify individual responsibilities as well as overall project team responsibilities and ensure that these are being met.
   » Identify and delegate assignments and project tasks to individuals and peers
