Home Instead Senior Care is a local, national and international company providing a wide variety oftrusted home care services to seniors in their own homes. There are 23 independently owned Irish offices.
Currently we have a vacancy in our Waterford office for a Care Manager with at least 5 years practice as a health care professional (e.g. nurse, occupational therapist). This is a new position due to our growth and success over recent years. The function is to manage and lead the office located care team working in a dynamic and friendly office.
The Function: While youwill be located in our Waterford Office, some of your time will be spent inthe community visiting our Clients and CAREGivers,inclient's homes. A full clean driving licence and access to a carare essential.
Responsibilities of this function will include but are not limited to:
   » Leading a highly qualified team to ensure the highest quality care is delivered to our Private and HSE clients.
   » Ensuring the care being delivered is meeting HCCI, ISO & Franchise Standards, local policies and the requirements of the Health Service Executive (HSE).
   » Conducting internal audits.
   » Supervising, Mentoring and supporting a large team of CAREGivers
   » Network building and enhancing existing relationships with health care professionals and mulit-disciplinary teams in hospitals and various community settings.
   » Contributing to the growth of Waterford Senior Care Ltd by identifying opportunities for growth.
   » As part of the home care team assisting with quality assurance visits, developing and reviewing care plans for clients and visiting clients enquiring about our services.
The ideal candidate will?
   » Be a qualified health care professional (e.g. nurse, occupational therapist -ideally with practice in the area of senior care). 5 + years.
   » Be proactive with excellentcommunication, negotiation, problem solving and decision making expertise
   » Have the capability to plan organise and manage their own workload.
   » Have practice in staff supervision and management.
   » Be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
   » Have a ?can do' positive attitude and the capability to work in a fast paced team environment
   » Have excellent planning and organisation expertise
   » Be flexible to assist and to carry out any other tasks in other areas as required
