The Function:
this function will support the Consumer Finance team by providing indepth quantitative analysis to support strategic change, business proposals and credit policy. The prosperous candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated and will thrive in a challenging work environment.
Key tasks & The main responsibilities are:
   » practice using SAS or SQL programming languages, ideally on large datasets in a mainframe or server environment.
   » Lead the collaborative approach to delivering the Consumer Finance business objectives for the bank.
   » Development of business strategies and credit policy proposals (acquisition and portfolio) for approval.
   » practice in data driven analysis.
   » Compile and analyse financial and other MI related to consumer finance performance and reporting same to key stakeholders.
Essential expertise & Abilities:
   » practice working in a modelling function or some related quantitative function, part of which in a retail and commercial bank environment.
   » Banking / financial services practice.
   » Previous practice in data driven analysis,
   » practice using SAS or SQL programming languages, ideally on large datasets in a mainframe or server environment.
   » Proven capability to plan and organise own workload to deliver in a challenging environment
   » An knowledge of statistical techniques and system toolsets and how they are applied appropriately for the benefit of the Bank and its customers.
suitable education
   » Qualified to degree level in a numerate discipline with practice in data driven analysis and statistical/mathematical modelling.
