Job Description

We are currently looking to hire for the following function Lead Insurance Accountant 
Special expertise/Personal Attributes:
An exciting opportunity to join the finance team has arisen. this function will suit a highly motivated person who is seeking a new challenge, with the opportunity to excel themselves and lead reporting across all regulatory products in the business.
Main Tasks
1. Responsible for leading regulatory reporting across all insurance products.
2. Implement and manage new requirements around Rescue Plus & EBC products, ensuring controls are in place & new reporting is effective.
3. Manage and coordinate the Relay360, TIA & Relay month end close, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue to management.
4. Responsible for collation and production of key monthly KPI’s, along with commentary and explanation of variances.
5. Responsible for the production of the monthly Insurance P&L and Insurance pack, along with key inputs into the Finance Pack & Board packs as appropriate.
6. Responsible for managing B2C credit control, collection of overdue accounts, connected cancellations, and customer refunds.
7. Responsible for bad debt monitoring & reporting, along with inputs into Lean deck on a monthly basis.
8. Responsible for managing key relationships with our Insurance Partners, along with continuing reconciliations & resolution of items in dispute.
9. Responsible for overall coaching & development of team members ensuring staff development and training is provided as appropriate, along with objectives, IDPs and performance management.
10. Sign off for Relay 360 finance acceptance testing
11. Assisting with annual audit as appropriate. 
Competencies Required
1. Qualified accountant with a minimum 3-5 years’ practice
2. Part qualified CIP or studying towards same
3. Excellent expertise of all motor and home products, services, procedures & practices
4. A sound expertise of AA Ireland systems – RELAY360, TIA, RELAY along SAP Business One.
5. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical, along with strong analytical and presentation expertise
6. Excellent organizational, time management, negotiation and communication expertise
7. Good MS office expertise
